On Greg’s first trip to Zambia, I received an email with the picture below attached with only this message:
“This girl has captured my heart”
And so began our first adoption journey.
The needs of the orphan became real. She was standing right in front of him with bright eyes & a beautiful smile. It was impossible to turn away or switch a channel or avoid. She was real.
Greg came home and we began to talk, pray, discuss, debate (and all the other stuff that comes with a spirited discussion) We both cried.
I was blessed to go the following spring and meet the girl who stole his heart. She stole mine too. (and yes I missed that beautiful hair!) We now sponsor her education through Grassroots Heroes -- A ministry we are involved with in Zambia. Check us out on here.
I can’t wait to go back in October and see her again and how much she has grown!
She is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThat has to be THE CUTEST LITTLE GIRL I have ever seen! Bless her!
ReplyDeleteI am enjoying your blog! I found your blog from a yahoo group that I recently joined.
ReplyDeleteI just found your blog through a friend. We are in the process of adopting a baby girl from Ethiopia through All God's Children. How far a long are you with your latest adoption? Loving your blog!
ReplyDeleteHi Marisa! Congrats on adopting! We love AGCI and though we are with a different agency this time-we still help coordinate donations for HH Ethiopia and still stay involved.
ReplyDeleteWe are sending our dossier in to our agency tomorrow! YEA!
