I was a stranger……

Matthew 25:35 “for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in.”

I am amazed at how God works. I read this verse the other week and discovered how stranger can actually mean foreigner. I shared with my husband about this. I contemplated what that would mean for me and for us as a family. My prayer for God lately has just been “Lord I am willing and open—just tell me what you want me to do.”

While getting my shots at the health department the other day I met a BEAUTIFUL woman whom I could just tell was looking for a friend and someone to talk to you. She had her little girl with her and was confused as to what shots she was getting and why. I talked to her for a minute and found out the she was from Jordan and only been in the US for 2 months. Her husband was on his way in April. The Lord nudged “give her your phone number”. Okay Lord—gave her my number, she shared where she lived. Now, to see what God does with it. I am excited about a new friendship, a new culture to get to know and to hear the rest of her story.

Thank you Lord that Your Word is alive and active!

  2. Wow! That is a great garage sale pile! Our family/friends donated stuff to us last year and we had a great sale, we're getting ready to do another one with the leftovers and some new things people have given us to help!
