I will pick a random winner to send the book, Terrify No More by Gary Haugen.
Psalm 10:17-18 You hear, O LORD, the desire of the afflicted;
you encourage them, and you listen to their cry, defending the fatherless and the oppressed, in order that man, who is of the earth, may terrify no more.
This is the book that gripped my heart to work with International Justice Mission. It’s a hard read but an inspiring. After reading it, I felt I HAD to do something. I didn’t care if it was just scrubbing toilets. This ministry is the real deal. You can literally feel God’s presence when you walk into their office. They are being God’s hands and feet in some of our world’s darkest places.
This gripping book documents the events leading up to, and surrounding, IJM's groundbreaking work in the notorious Cambodian village of Svay Pak. In this operation alone, IJM’s work resulted in the rescue of 37 underage victims of sex-trafficking, many of them under the age of 10.
Today’s Reading : Numbers 30:1 through 31:54
War…it’s been here along time. Some parts of it I understand and some parts I don’t. I can explain a lot intellectually but it still makes my heart hurt. The whole kill everyone really makes me want to show “no! why?” It’s hard stuff…but I know beyond a doubt that God is God and He is good. Even when I don’t get it.
