Holocaust Memorial-Butterflies Galore!

The kids and I are doing a project for the Holocaust Museum in Houston. They are making a memorial using butterflies to represent the children who perished.

For more on this project, click here . It is a easy project with few rules. They need to be smaller than 8 x 11 and no glitter or food products. Be sure to check the site with the poem that inspired the project and other educational helps.

Below are are some pics of our butterflies. We stamped, watercolored, painted, glued, and all sorts of things. It only took a little bit of time but caused us to pause and think about innocent life lost.

Pictures from my friend Kathryn. She is hosting monthly butterfly making parties in Texas! Thanks Kati!
