I was blessed tremendously by their sincere hearts and worship. I seriously cried during the whole thing and when they asked us to stand and join in the Revelation Song…I had to fight to not do the ‘ugly cry’.
They shared the story of 2 of the children—which reminded me of my son’s story. They shared the important need of clean water..and my mind went back to being in Zambia and seeing this well

Water that was filthy and was filled with parasites and bacteria. But it was the ONLY water they had to use.

However—thanks to generous people who cared about a small village in Zambia---- I was blessed to be there when they drilled this well !

So now they have this play pump! They ride it like a merry go round which pumps the water and stores it. I even have video of my husband riding it :)

The children also reminded me of being at the ghetto in Guatemala and seeing this river flowing behind the houses. Yes, that is trash flowing in it.

We just can’t even comprehend it.
Our concerns over water is what fancy bottle we are going to drink it out of or if we want flavored or tap---not whether it will make us or our children sick—sick enough to bring death.
I was also reminded of these verses:
John 4:10 Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water.”Imagine being told about that Living Water and thinking about the dirty parasite-filled water that you are drinking each and every day. The water that causes your family to be sick and maybe even die.
Sir,” the woman said, “you have nothing to draw with and the well is deep. Where can you get this living water?
12Are you greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well and drank from it himself, as did also his sons and his flocks and herds?”
13Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again,
14but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”
How better a way to show that Jesus is the Living Water with life and hope than by giving the gift of water?
I encourage you to look for ways that you can partner with people to help contribute to a well—giving the gift of life through water. Here are some sites to get you started.
