What’s your favorite children’s book? and a Giveaway!

You know—the one you keep after your children are grown up because you can’t bear to get rid of it?

Or the ones you always pick out to give as gifts?

My turn first:

All those children’s stories by Max Lucado.  Here’s a few. I have seriously bawled before while reading them for the first time.

Now…what’s your favorites?

Please share so we can all enjoy them! I love books! especially good quality ones!

And I will pick one person who shared their favorite book for kids and they will receive a coupon code from Dayspring to receive their own recordable story book!  You just have to pay shipping!

Just comment on this post!

I want to share with you a recordable storybook by Dayspring that just came out with.

They have a few really cute ones to pick from. Check them all out here.  I had a hard time choosing which one to review!

Here is the one I have.

I Love You Head To Toe

It starts off by “From head to toe, all through and through ….I love how special God made you!” (with cute pictures of panda and baby) and it keeps going describing the things you love about them.  This would be great for a Grandma to send to her grandkids or for those that just want reinforce I love you and that God made you special!

The pages are thick so they won’t tear easily too. Great for wee little ones!

Can you guess who I am doing this for? Yep, a sweet little baby so he can hear momma’s voice over and over again saying that she loves him!

Now…go comment about your favorite book so I can give someone a coupon code for a free one of these courtesy of Daypsring!!!

I will pick a winner on Monday!

(PS. Dayspring gave me this product to review and this opinion is my own)

  1. Max Lucado's You are Special is at the top of our family list! Such an amazing message!!

  2. We also love "You are Special" and "Just in Case you Ever Wonder" by Max Lucado. Another favorite author of ours is William Steig. "Yellow and Pink", "The Toy Brother", and "Spinky Sulks" are all hilariously funny and will remain on my shelf forever.

  3. LOVE ALL of the books by Max Lucado too!!!!!

A mother for Choco- can make me cry :)
Also Jojo a little story of Faith- can't help but cry. It is for a slightly older little one, but it is about adoption and is AMAZING!!!!!

Baby girl loves- Please Mama Please- it is a board book and is too cute!

  4. Marissa's favorite was The Kissing Hand. My boys were 12 & 16 when she came home, and the books they wanted to save from childhood to give to her were Caps for Sale , Love You Forever and Shiloh!

  5. One of our faves is "How Many Kisses Do You Want Tonight". We also like Dr. Seuss's "I'm NOT going to get up today" and "I can read with my eyes shut". Our favorite Big Kid book is "Charlotte's Web". We also like the Fancy Nancy books. Oh so many books we love!

  6. I bought Heather the book "Love you forever" for her baby shower. I just loved that book. My mom had never read it so I read it to her before giving it to Heather, we were both in tears by the end.

  7. My favorite is Good Night Moon. We're on our second copy...and it's almost worn out. I keep a running list of books I plan on buying my grandchildren one day LOL! Some other faves are Brown Bear Brown Bear (and several other Eric Carle books) most of the Sandra Boyton books and a sweet one I discovered recently called I Love You as Much.

  8. Twice yours, love you forever, the runaway bunny, a mother for choco, the white pony, the stinky cheese man, the little old man who couldn't read, oh boy.... When I have to list them, I can't remember them all!! Hee hee!

Thanks for asking, I can't wait to find the ones the others have mentioned!

Our current favorite early readers are: Henry and Mudge and Mr Putter and Tabby both series by Cynthia Rylant.

  9. So many favorites...I think "Caps for Sale" is still at the top of my list. It always leaves us laughing!
